It’s the Uber of the hospitality industry, a personalised service providing comfortability and affordability. Airbnb is becoming increasingly more popular across the globe, offering houses and apartments that are ready to use and have all the amenities and services that you would have in your own home. It’s no wonder it has been a hit! The recent developments have resulted in Airbnb being used for business purposes. Whether it is the ability to rent out a multi-story condo, villa, or hosting a smaller team of delegates within a large house. The added bonus is that there is usually something suitable in exactly the location you want to stay in. The shifted focus towards business events and trips has resulted in a personalised business phone line where you are given priority status at all hours for assistance. Set up business accounts making it easier for your company to reimburse you for the accommodation, or pay directly themselves. Specialised properties have been fitted out with all business amenities such as Wifi, computer stations and travel essentials such as an iron and hairdryers.
Although a great option for those staying for an extended period of time and who really want to settle into a comfortable home, Airbnb is perhaps not the frontrunner when it comes to quick stays. They do provide many of the same features as most hotel groups do, however there is nothing quite so nice as handing your bags to someone else and staying in a luxurious hotel where everything is taken care of. Pick up the telephone and you can have a meal delivered within 20 minutes, or a few floors down you will find your conference or events room, making it easy to transition between the two rooms! Until Airbnb starts offering integrated event spaces, we think the real winners are still hotels! Comments are closed.
