It’s that time of year again when planning for the company Christmas party is back on the agenda and often with a variety of groups to cater to, it can be a tricky balance finding the right event style or activity to suit everyone. Some companies are organising family friendly activity days or company BBQ’s to ease up on the alcohol spend and allow for staff to include their family in celebrations. It’s a great way for employers to create a bridge between private and working life. However, for some the Xmas party is the one time of year to celebrate and really let their hair down in a child-free environment. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has long been a hot topic, from choosing a teambuilding activity that makes a difference such as a volunteer or fundraising day or choosing to do what we at Business Retreats do each holiday season and choose to donate to a worthy cause (in 2018 we chose the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre) over sending greeting cards. It’s a great way to give worthy causes a much-needed boost and spread good will through your business by supporting the greater community. |
