I am sure it is not only us that have an issue with Audio Visual at the venues but I hope that someone will implement better approaches to AV quotes and pricing. Firstly, why can’t we get AV equipment priced in the first quote from the venues? Is it too hard to offer some basic packages to clients in the immediate quote rather than ask them to contact another person via different contact details for AV equipment only? As a venue these packages should be organised prior to having a client as it makes it much easier and efficient to book. This is asking us to do your work for you and is creating unnecessary extra back and forth emails now between the client and the AV supplier. Secondly, can AV prices be more realistic? AV quotes have become a bit of a joke. We all now know that your first AV quote is totally blown out of proportion and that you need to scrutinise to get rid of all the extra unnecessary items. It is a joke because the second quote that we get given is lot less in comparison. If the first quote were realistic we would save each other so much time and isn’t this the most valuable commodity in this busy age.
Venues, please, please sort this out. You would be surprised how many of your quotes have not got you the business based on the ridiculously expensive AV. Why do we have to pay for in-built data projector? Why do we have to pay for internet? It’s time to move on with the times and offer snappy, friendly, immediate and realistic AV prices. To the venues that already do this, thank you, and to the venues that don’t, it is time to step up your game. Comments are closed.
