Brisbane has been bursting at the seams with new hotels, venues and stylish dining options. It’s recent transformation cementing it as a sophisticated city offering so much for conference and incentive groups.

Brisbane has fantastic airport infrastructure and a wide range of conference venues and accommodation facilities that can be tailored to suit conference delegations of all sizes. The warmer climate and easy going attitude  make Brisbane a popular choice for organisers looking to get their group away to a slightly more relaxed environment, without loosing the benefit of a major city’s offerings.

The area has seen a big boost in new hotel openings competing who can outshine who. Professional designers are testing their daring skills in Brisbane hotels drawing from the party city referred to as Brisvegas. There is glamour and glitz with lights reflecting of the river and onto the many shiny brand new buildings. Join many others and enjoy stunning Art Gallery with its original artworks, complimentary art tours, multiple restaurants and a rooftop pool and bar with views of the river.

New venue spaces have also opened up along the Howard Street Wharves precinct giving event organisers an abundance of venues to choose from. There are large beer halls, smaller restaurants with terraces and wine bars, managed by award wining teams and chefs.

For groups, there’s plenty to choose from for team activities outside conference hours, pre and post touring options and off-site activities. Take a quick cruise to Brisbane’s popular Moreton Island where delegates can try their hand at sand-boarding down the dunes or conquer a fear of heights by abseiling down or scaling up the raw cliff face of Kangaroo Point.

Taking in the spectacular views from Story Bridge Climb is also a popular choice and if your group is looking for something more low key, why not explore the city views from a kayak or try stand-up paddle boarding. There’s so much to choose from and something to suit all types. They can even cuddle a koala (and get the photo to prove it) at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.

As one of the fastest-growing regions in Australia, Brisbane has been tipped by business experts to overtake Hong Kong and Singapore as the fastest-growing mature city in the world over the next 10 years. It’s easy to see why it’s becoming more popular with businesses as a conference destination. And with the gorgeous Brisbane River winding through the centre of the city, it also offers some spectacular views.

Brisbane Airport is located less than 20 minutes’ drive from the CBD and the city itself is becoming even more accessible with new air routes opening up continually. Brisbane Airport operates approximately 700 flights on a busy weekday. This includes both domestic and international flights, with 26 airlines serving 67 destinations.
